What is water pollution?
Water pollution is when waste, chemicals, or other particles cause water to be harmful to animals that need the water to survive. Water pollution also deplete water quality and making it toxic for the environment and humans
What types of water pollution do you get?
Under what circumstances does water pollution occur?
Water pollution occur when pollutants (particles, chemicals or substances that make water contaminated) are directly or indirectly into water bodies without enough treatment to get rid of harmful compounds. Pollutants get into water mainly by human causes or human factors.
What are the disadvantages of water pollution?
Disadvantages is the water pollution seriously affects the ecosystem, it can cause eutrophication. Water pollution also destroys life in the water.
What effect does water pollution have on human health?
Water pollution has very negative effects on public health. A lot of diseases result from drinking or being in contact with water, such as diarrhoea and cholera or skin infections.
How many people die from pollution?
Between 5 and 10 million people die each year from water pollution related illnesses.
Solution for plastic pollution
Possible solution to water pollution is by removing pollutants from water through a physical, chemical or biological process, and we need to reduce our use of plastic (Maltese , 2018) (Piccard, n.d.) (eschooltoday, 2017). My opinion about plastic pollution is not biodegradable that is why it is bad for the environment and it causes more damage to the environment by disposing plastic. I think we need to recycle more and be more aware of what we are causing to happen to the environment. We should also use eco-friendly products such as paper bags and metal straws.
